A Gauntlet of Warmth for the Slopes
No matter how many different types of winter gloves I go through, I always have the same problem. They all start out fairly warm to some degree, but then as the day wears on, my fingers start to get colder and colder. I used to think just buying waterproof gloves were enough, but clearly that’s not the case. Dry does not equal warm.
How do I keep my hands warm? I usually solve this problem by stepping into the lodge and tearing open some disposable hand warmer so that the blood rushes back into my fingers. Spend a few more hours on the slopes, then repeat. Editor’s Note: Unfortunately this technology comes at a steep price. These gloves aren’t cheap, but if you’re always struggling to keep your hands warm on the slopes, then this may just be the answer. $250 definitely exceeds the worth of this type of glove, IMO. I would much rather that money and tech go into a properly constructed, waterproof glove with traditional insulation. I find the whole electric clothing concept to be rather ridiculous.
