Hey Question, awesome review. Now I have to play at a friends wedding, but I am confused about what amp or Speakers to use. Yea I'm kinda new to this but wondering if you could help. What amp did you use, and what speakers did you use? Would u reccommend just going straight thru powered speakers instead of an amp? If you could explain it with a lot of details that would be awesome, aka the use or point of the amp, thank u so much

Hi,
Have really enjoyed the idj2,do you know how to cue the songs so only u can hear it thru your headphones while the party is dancing to the other song? Secondly do you really need an amp?
thanks

I got your e-mail/comment that said you were wondering about the headsphones. I'd like to say I had the new "beats" by Dr. Dre headphones but alas, I was only using some fairly basic studio monitor (often used for editing film) headphones: Sony MDR-V150. I got them at Best Buy for about $30. They worked really well even being close to speakers and having to hear another track.

Hope that helps man.

The cueing is very easy, actually. If you run the 'library' software on your iTunes library it will know exactly how long the song is and all that so when you select the song it will load it instantly without having to wait for it to load. That didn't really make sense but I think you know what I'm saying. Haha. Sorry.

And as far as pushing a track? You definately can. Yeah, push and pull actually. So when you combine that with the beat-keeper it's pretty easy to almost flawlessly transition songs.

Great review! Thanks. I've wanted one of these for some time. One thing I'm especially interested in is the ease of the cue function (i.e. can you drop the second track in instantaneously- like a turntable?), and also whether you can "push a track on" (i.e. use your fingers on the "disks" to speed up a track while beat-mixing). Does anyone know? Thanks
