Jack,
Love your comment and opinion! Thanks for reading Gear Patrol and this post.

I have to think that if all men were like you (your preference for the cheap stuff) then there probably wouldn't be hundreds of different products in the shaving aisle at your local grocer. I admit that my dislike of shaving is due to the discomfort not due to the act of shaving itself. Hence, my relief that I found a product like Edge Infused so that I don't have to hate shaving! I disagree with you on my manliness because I don't like the feel of razorburn. But damn, kuddos to you for your appreciation of facial inferno...burn on!

Gents, I'm going to guess that when it comes to shaving, our routines are probably as various as Tiger Woods's on-camera expletives are numerous. I typically shave with relatively inexpensive gear, so this Edge stuff might be right up my alley. A shower shaver, I've recently gone ice cold during the shaving portion of the event, in order to keep my pores closed and avoid unnecessary razor burn. This has the added benefit of steeling my nerves for future polar plunges. This may not be for everyone, but it works for me.

Jack I'm going to respectfully argue that using the "cheapest crap" you can find would indicate you don't love to shave. Using a brush taking your time and shaving with a straight edge would qualify as loving to shave. We each have our own opinions on shaving, but it's something almost all guys have to do, so I'll agree there should be no whining in shaving. We attempt to bring options to the readers so you can find a solution that works. Personally if I used Barbasol and a disposable my neck would look like it got in a bar fight with a cactus...and that will make the ladies look towards to door too. I've found the Art of Shaving stuff to work awesome for me. It's way more expensive and little too self involved for me usually, but not having cactus face is worth it till I can be Grizzly Adams.

Thanks for commenting though, and keep giving us your opinions! Anyone else got a shaving solution?

McMurray you are a wuss! Man up, for gods sake. Shaving the last refuge we have that separates from you know who. I love to shave, and what saves me from any discomfort is doing it last thing in a hot shower with the cheapest crap I can find, Barbasol usually. Women start looking for the door when confronted by a man who whines about shaving. Jesus!
