Clever of Nissan to simply use technology already developed by Toyota. There is little point in re-inventing the wheel and R&D is incredibly expensive. So simply slot in you motor and body and use Toyota's hybrid stuff under the panels of you Nissan brand car. I foresee that hybrid and other altrernative technologies is going to really revolutionise the world of the motor car, and I am really looking forward to that!

Bradley Hasemeyer did an incredible job on the Altima Hybrid test! It makes me want to go out to my Taurus and undo 2 or 3 spark plugs so that I too can be Hybrid-ish.

Can't wait for his next test!

Jon,

Thanks for the "nerd-out." I'm def doing to use that expression!

What I meant was that the size of the engine at 2.5L was a very non-hybrid thing. Most of the other engines are smaller (Prius 1.8L).

Thanks, seriously, for the shout out and comment. Keep reading....and thanks for the new expression. Yesssss

One minor nitpick:

RE: "Then, (and here’s the non-hybrid part) Nissan paired it with their 2.5L in-line 4 cylinder engine."

Any hybrid is a blend of two things, in this case an electric battery/motor system with a combustion engine. So that 4-cylinder is a "hybrid part."

Sorry for the nerd-out. Just that somehow "hybrid" has come to mean "electric" when they're two distinct things.

enjoy the video, do not like the politics.
Recycle yes, road trips in the left lane behind a hybrid is not where these vehicles need to be.
