Question: Do You Have A Fever… For Grilling?

Christopher Walken famously stated that he needed more cowbell to cure his fever. This summer, more of us will be eating at home than ever before (a good thing), and that likely means more of you will be donning the hat of grillmeister, so tell us oh, tonged one, just how often do you grill? You’ll find the poll on the right side of any page (after the jump on this post).

My 2 Big Green Eggs are going all year long.
Jack, I've heard some great things about the Big Green Egg. What are some of it's advantages over typical grills?
Very versatile. You can grill, smoke, roast, sear the greatest steaks you've ever tasted and bake a cake or bread on the thing. You can do ribs and any other BBQ to absolute perfection, low and slow. Everything comes out succulent and flavorful because the ceramics keeps all moisture in during the cook. I have a large size and a small size that I keep going all year round. Lifetime guarantee, great support and a phenomenal forum of enthusiasts that are extremely knowledgeable. Unparalleled. A large % of people competing in BBQ contests throughout the country have switched to Eggs and are winning. It is also very economical to use. No briquets. Just lump charcoal. You can cook a 14 hr pork butt on 1 load of charcoal and still have some left which can be reused.Check it out at biggreenegg.com. It might make an interesting spot. Oh! I don't have any interest or connection with BGE. Just glad they exist. I'm sorry I slipped into hyperbabble mode but "dayum" it's good.

Jack, thanks for giving your take. Products, like the BGE, that grow a community around them are almost always awesome. And don't apologize for gushing about a bit of gear you love. We welcome that! After all, that's how GP was born.
Jack, sounds like someone's ripe to do a Reader review through our Open Forum tool. I encourage you to submit one of the Big Green Egg for the benefit of the community. It certainly sounds like you're quite the BGE user. I know I'd love to hear more about it myself.
Oh, and for what it's worth, hyperbabble is what we're all about here at Gear Patrol.
Who me? How do I do this? People will actually be reading my stream of consciousness?
Colorado is known for its snow but we have our grills running year round. After shoveling my driveway and sidewalk I clear out my grilling area. We have even made chairs and tables from the snow (when it dumps).
Be sure to check out Weber’s new video series “Weber Grill Master”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRN-VTuA0aw Grilling experts Jamie Purviance and Steven Raichlen compare notes on grilling techniques, what inspired these classically trained chefs to pursue the art of cooking with live fire, and find out what led to their biggest grilling mistakes.
