No, it’s not a documentary about the storybook rise of our President, but rather a film considered to be a definitive “must have” in any movie collection.

Baraka, which means “blessing” in several languages, focuses on humans and the spaces they interact between. Yes, it’s a bit all over the place, but at the end of the day, Baraka is a cinematic and technical marvel. It’s also pretty much guaranteed to make any HDTV burst with visual glory - it stands alone as the only movie ever to be transferred with an 8K HD UltraDigital Scan (read: eye-blistering quality and imagery). Shot on 70mm film (typical movies are 35mm) across 24 countries on six continents, Baraka is best described by the film’s director Ron Fricke, “a whole world summed up in 104 minutes.”

Cost: $16
