Last week, Aperion Audio announced its first ever speaker designed specifically for outdoor use. The goal behind the move was to create an outdoor speaker that comes as close as technically possible to matching the performance of their excellent bookshelf speakers, while still being built in a way to resist the elements and provide years of reliable use. Featuring an audiophile grade tweeter and woofer with a rugged weather and UV-resistant cabinet, this unit is definitely built to last. Of course as is the case with all Aperion speakers, the unit ships standard with a 10 year warranty if things do go amiss.

An aimable mounting system also provides flexibility for moving the unit around should the need arise.

Available in Satin Black and Alpine White, these attractive units are reasonably priced at $149 each (no tax, no shipping), especially when compared to competing models. Though we haven’t had the opportunity to test the speaker during a GP patio party just yet, rest assured we will. For now though, if you’re in need of outdoor sound, there’s no risk involved in testing them yourself thanks to Aperion’s free shipping and risk free 30 day in home trial program. Of course let the community know about your experience should you decide to take the plunge.

Price: $149
