At $999, the new Apple Macbook is officially the best deal going in Apple’s laptop lineup, especially for those looking to make the jump. The new polycarbonate MacBook is equipped with a 1280×800 13.3″ LED backlit display, 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, clever non-skid bottom surface, NVIDIA 9400M graphics (shared), built-in iSight camera, multi-touch trackpad, and 7 hour internal battery bring some heft to the table, all while maintaining a semi-svelte 4.7 lb weight. You’ll find a revised MagSafe power adaptor, Gigabit Ethernet, Mini DisplayPort, USB, and audio in/out are all finally placed on the same side of the laptop. A perfect upgrade or suggestion for the person looking to switch to a Mac.

More photos after the jump.

Cost: $999
