Normally I'd agree but its not actually plastic. the whole thig is made from the same materials as fender guitars, it's just the insides that have been ripped ouf and "controllerised". Still I wouldn't pay $300 for it though as it is what it is, a premium controller for a video game.

I'm a pro bassist. When I tried to play guitar hero, my seven years old cousin beated me. I don't think that plastic stuff is near a guitar, just try to pick one real guitar (or bass) and do something with it. Just my opinion.

$300 for a MIA strat? Bullshit. MAYBE a MIM for that price. And I can definitely confirm these games are creating lots of budding young musicians on the scene.

A dying art due to these games? I think you should talk to some guitar instructors and ask if more kids are taking lessons now due to these games. I think you'll find they've increased interest in playing instruments as opposed to decreasing.

I don't get it. $300 for a hunk of plastic? I picked up a real american strat (lightly used) for just a little more than that. All the time spent playing a button game could be applied to a real instrument, which is a dying art due to these games. Come on guys put down the controller and join me in keeping music alive! Especially with recent passing of Les Paul, a man you should pay homage to on this site and every time you pick that piece of plastic that replicates something someone really put a pick to to entertain you.
