Winter gloves: they’re a dime a dozen. We’re always on the lookout for a pair that differentiates. The Gordini Fireside Gloves may look like another pair of brown weekend leather gloves from the outside, but they’re lined with a material engineered by Gordini called Lavawool. Great name. It outperforms wool or fleece alone by blending the warming properties of traditional wool with special wicking synthetic fibers that draw moisture from your skin; 95% special wool blend, 5% cashmere, and 1% lava. Okay, not so much the 1% lava, but we found the Gordini Fireside gloves to be both unexpectedly warm, dry, and comfortable. Yes, like any fabric, the Fireside’s could stand for at least a bit cashmere for increased comfort, but the moisture-wicking properties more than make up the difference.

Cost: $40
