Basically defining old-school martial arts movies, the plot of The 36th Chamber of Shaolin has been imitated by countless movies since its release including The Karate Kid. All you need to know about this original is that a recently orphaned man seeks training from Shaolin Monks to revenge his parents. In the process he must pass through a torturous series of “chambers” designed to hone him into an ass kicking machine. Some where along the way he invents a unique weapon to defeat his enemies and overall becomes the badass he hoped the Monks would make him. End of story. Now in 1080p, this is a cult classic worthy of any action fan’s movie library.
