D.C. Sans the Suits
Washington D.C. is known for many things: leaders of the Free World, iconic monuments, and droves of institution naysayers. You know, spawns of the punk rock movement: Bad Brains, Henry Rollins, and even brands like DURKL. DURKL’s base camp in D.C. is one that has clearly influenced their style – the uniquely American take is evident in their designs. Their slogan “High Quality, Low Standards” is nothing if not ironic, but we’re keenly eying their outerwear in the Fall/Holiday 2010. It may be hot right now, but it’s not to early to start thinking cool.
