Our tech lust knows no bounds. The same goes for our desire to own custom and unique products that distinguish our possessions from the average catalog trawler. Unfortunately gadget manufacturers typically think in quantities of millions, not hundreds, which makes owning distinctive electronics a difficult feat. These Audio Speakers ($199) from Chicago based Etsy seller Ikyaudio however are a welcomed exception. Hand-crafted from PVC pipes, each speaker houses a 3-inch magnesium/aluminum alloy full range driver with a frequency response of 80-20,000. They’ve also got 3 way binding posts on the rear, and magnetic shielding to insure they don’t destroy video sources like computer monitors when placed nearby. For those who prefer bolder color schemes in their home aesthetic, pairs are available in a wide variety of high gloss lacquer colorways, so take your pick. Keep in mind though that these speakers are non-powered and will require a separate amplifier to pump out your beats. Luckily for you, Ikyaudio also sells a steam-punk inspired 15 watt mini T class amp which can help you out.
