The pursuit of the perfect key chain is a frustrating one. Keys seem to constantly sneak onto your carefully selected fob, threatening to blow out your pockets and give your pants that non-flattering bulge. The Keyport Slide ($40+) provides an elegant solution to this conundrum. Looking much like the fancy multifunction key fobs from the likes of Audi and Volkswagen, the Keyport is a rectangular stainless steel fob made to hold up to six keys. Each key is cut down to a blade that with the push of your thumb slides in and out of the fob. Not content to merely consolidate your keys, the Keyport also provides blades such as bottle openers (though, we wonder about the “drink and drive” association), usb drives, and even an LED light, saving you even more pocket space. We’ve found that it carries comfortably and small in the pocket, smaller than a full size Honda key, and a huge improvement over our old key chain. If you’re monstrosity of a key chain is causing you to look downright janitorial, it’s time to upgrade.
