Dinner In The Sky

dinner-in-the-sky-elevated-dining-london.jpg

Dinner In The Sky brings an entirely new meaning to “work dinner”. If one were inclined to make a contrived joke here, they might even jest that it brings dinner to entirely new heights, but that would be too obvious.

Make your next meal, meeting, drinks, gathering unforgettable with Dinner In the Sky, an offering that essentially takes a catered meal, complete with chef, waiter, entertainer, and 12 lucky guests 50 meters into the air on a custom platform. And there is no limit to where you can participate so long as there’s 500 square meters of secure space. An additional crane can elevate a band, second dinner platform or item of your choosing. Trying to make an impression? Can’t think of a better way than Dinner In The Sky.

Now, it’s time to convince Eric to make this happen for a few lucky Gear Patrol readers.

Cost: $5,000 for 2 hours + options @ Dinner In The Sky

Gear Patrol Salute - Independence Day

fireworks_nyc.jpgWhether you spend the day watching Transformers, grilling steaks to delicious perfection or just kicking it back with a beer in one hand and a gorgeous companion in the other it’s important to realize that 231 years ago this country liberated itself from the throes of colonization. It’s also to important to know that those colonies would later go on to be states and eventually form the United States of America; spreading our brands, fast food, painfully gorgeous women, and much envied lifestyle across the world.

It’s also important to give a shout to our fellow men overseas who are missing the chance at that pool side brat and beer. This ones for you gents.

It’s also important to know that this day is one of the few where everyone can revel in things blowing up in the air - we sure plan to.

UBS Golf Challenge Experience

UBS Golf Challenge Experience

Visitors to Rockefeller Center will have the opportunity to take the most intimidating shot in golf at ‘The UBS Golf Challenge: Experience The Players Championship.’ The scaled replica of ‘The Players’ Stadium Course’s iconic island 17th hole will serve as the centerpiece to an interactive exhibit. The exhibit coincides with the actual tournament. The 1/4-scaled replica will allow fans to hit a shot to an island green surrounded by water. The exhibit will feature putting areas, as well as a full-swing net. Instructors from the new TOUR Academy, headquartered at TPC Sawgrass, will be on hand to provide tips.

Visit Robert Caplin’s site for more photos.

What this means to you: Some of us will never get a chance to play TPC Sawgrass. Who’s to complain about getting a shot at the infamous 17th hole absolutely free? The only cost to you is the embarrassment of a shank into the water (or someone’s face).
