By Jesse Zanger - It’s almost impossible to compile a list of the 10 best sandwiches in America. That said, the editors of Gear Patrol put me out to do just that. Honestly, it’s like asking for a definitive list of the 10 most beautiful women ever with 50 of them standing there in front of you. For one thing, it’s probably going to keep changing, and the fact that you’re never going to reach agreement in the ranks. So, for your drool-laden consideration, I present you the 10 Best Sandwiches in America (including burgers).
First things first, lets settle on the definition of a sandwich. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary a sandwich is defined as:
Main Entry: (noun) Two or more slices of bread or a split roll having a filling in between.
Etymology: John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich died 1792 English diplomat.
With that out of the way, let’s proceed.

Arguably, the best part of spaghetti and meatballs are the meatballs. That is, so long as you’re a man and love meat, which should account for 110% of the people reading this very sentence.
This weekend, IF you’ve got some time to spare then try out this recipe for Meatball Sliders from epicurious. Yes, Meatball. Sliders. It’s not exactly a simple recipe (21 ingredients), but I can attest to it’s suculence. Best served with Hoegarrden. Recipe after the jump.

Hot sauces are modern day nectars of the gods. Flavor is where it’s at and these two won’t disappoint. In a personal quest to find the tastiest hot sauce, I discovered a dynamic duo from Sizzlin Sauces that lit up my taste buds. Spittin Fire XXX Private Reserve, a 2007 Golden Chile award winner and Creepin Quag, a 2008 Golden Chile award winner.
Spittin Fire is a sauce made with a blend of fresh red savina, neon yellow, golden and chocolate habanero peppers, garlic, lime juice, carrot juice and a touch of honey. It’s perfect straight out of the bottle and has a zesty characteristic about it.
Creepin Quag combines cranberries, plums and prickly pear cactus with Red Savina Habanero, and Francesca Habanero for an extremely flavorful and powerful sauce. Unforgettably hot and unforgettably delicious.
Cost: Spittin Fire: $7 | Spittin Fire XXX Private Reserve: $8 | Creepin Quag $7 | Razing Cane Garlic Relish: $8 @ Sizzlin Sauces

What have you got planned for dinner this weekend? Might I suggest you look into stopping by your local butcher and picking up a few ribeyes, filets, or in this case, a Kansas City Strip Steak from the Kansas City Steak Company. The Kansas City Strip Steak originates from it’s namesake and has a rich hearty flavor. When you order your meat from KCSC, steak and prime rib seasoning are included, a nice bonus. Aged 28 days.
Editor’s Tip: Strip steak pairs well with Cabernet Sauvignon or your preference of lager, so long as it’s Stella Artois and served ice cold.
Cost: $69 (4 16oz strips) @ Kansas City Steak Company

Dinner In The Sky brings an entirely new meaning to “work dinner”. If one were inclined to make a contrived joke here, they might even jest that it brings dinner to entirely new heights, but that would be too obvious.
Make your next meal, meeting, drinks, gathering unforgettable with Dinner In the Sky, an offering that essentially takes a catered meal, complete with chef, waiter, entertainer, and 12 lucky guests 50 meters into the air on a custom platform. And there is no limit to where you can participate so long as there’s 500 square meters of secure space. An additional crane can elevate a band, second dinner platform or item of your choosing. Trying to make an impression? Can’t think of a better way than Dinner In The Sky.
Now, it’s time to convince Eric to make this happen for a few lucky Gear Patrol readers.
Cost: $5,000 for 2 hours + options @ Dinner In The Sky
