Advertising Campaign Manager

Campaign Management is a key function of the Gear Patrol sales team. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage several projects simultaneously, as well as excellent communication skill. An awareness and understanding of online ad technology, the full trafficking process and the digital media landscape is vital.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day to day ad server functions activities including but not limited to: trafficking digital ad campaigns, Q/A advertiser creatives, monitor campaign pacing and performance
• Ensure timely, accurate, and successful delivery of all campaign deliverables
• Forecast and track available inventory
• Support sales with RFP responses including but not limited to: translating targeting needs within RFP’s to select appropriate inventory as well as communicating any avails/conflicts
• Build reports to accurately communicate campaign pacing and performance with sales team and clients
• Support Sales leadership with business analysis and process recommendations

Requirements/Skills:
2+ years experience in online advertising; excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, strong experience working with Excel, thrives in a fast-paced environment. Detail oriented and strong analytical skills are a must. An awareness and understanding of online ad technology, the full trafficking process and the digital media landscape is vital. Candidates with DFP experience are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, autonomous, while also working in a team environment.

Knowledge and experience in working with rich media vendors (e.g., Pointroll, Sizmek)
Hands on experience working with DSPs / DMPs (e.g., DBM, MediaMath, Invite Media, BlueKai, Krux …) a plus

Social Media Editor

We are currently seeking an ambitious Social Media Editor looking to grow with Gear Patrol who will take the lead in driving traffic, wrangling out various SM platforms and bringing new attention and traffic to Gear Patrol content both on and off the primary web platform. In this role, the Social Media Editor will help develop and ensure the delivery of our Social Media schedule including programming, writing and activating users across campaigns in a manner authentic to the Gear Patrol brand and voice. The Editor will oversee strategies across email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flipboard, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tumblr, etc alongside the editorial team. Additionally, the Editor will monitor performance in real-time, provide weekly reporting on performance and status of strategy execution to the Editorial management and respond accordingly with tactical changes. In this role, the Editor will also be expected to themselves craft content as well as commission both Editorial and the Design team to build and deliver assets for use across our social channels including compelling images, motion photography and timely briefs to capitalize on relevancy and timeliness. The Editor will help develop and manage and grow our relationships with seeding partners as well as manage interns and coordinators to support in social media output and presenting relevant and timely social media-based content on the web.

Applicants must demonstrate a keen ability for story development, discovery and technical savviness (nerds welcome).

This isn’t your typical design internship where the only expectations are simply to organize folders, crop images, and work on imaginary projects. Our goal is to transform matriculated students or recent graduates into strong designers, confident photographers and powerful storytellers.

The ideal candidate lives and breathes creativity. A clear understanding of typography and grid systems is a must. You must a be a conceptual thinker, able to work independently and see every project to the finish with relentless focus. You must move fluidly between print and digital mediums in a fast-paced environment and be receptive to feedback from senior team leaders. Egos/negative attitudes need not apply.

Duties will encompass design, typography and photography in the creation of original content aligned with our brand principles. All candidates must be proficient in the latest Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), proficiently operate a DSLR, and have strong capabilities with WordPress (including basic HTML and CSS), editorial layouts and design, and a working knowledge of digital video tools.

This is a full-time internship that will last for a minimum period of 3 months. The internship does not include benefits, but we provide a stipend for housing, commuting (MTA) and lunches.
