Giant TCR Advanced 3

Ready To Tear Up Some Asphalt?

Faster. Oh, and faster (cue evil laughter)

Truth be told, even in a down economy, men still like their gear newer and faster. Cycling can be pretty pricey but don’t let the initial investment turn you away. Nothing beats the thrill of flying down a hill at 33 MPH or chasing another cyclist so far you’ll need a plane ticket to get home.

The Giant TCR Advanced 3 is a superb road bike. Why you ask? The frame: the single most critical component when choosing any bike. The 2009 TCR Advanced 3 offers a chunky and solid frame that uses T-800 composite in conjunction with proprietary M40 carbon. Coming in at 17.4 lbs the TCR Advanced 3 is equipped with Shimano 105 20-speed STI and Shimano 105 gears. Oh, and let’s not overlook the wheels (what man doesn’t appreciate a set of badass rims?). Here, Giant has coupled Mavic CXP22 rims with Formula sealed hubs and SAPIM race spokes.

Editor’s Note: One of the lightest yet most durable road bikes in the industry, sure to smoke any punks in your neighborhood.

Cost: $2,500
