$50k BMW 3-Series? Yes, With 320 Horsepower

2011 BMW 335is

Taking the venerable BMW 3 series to its most powerful, non-M, variant, BMW has just announced the 2011 BMW 335is. At 320 hp, 332 lb-ft torque (or 370 lb-ft when launch control is used on the new 7 speed transmission), the 335is will reach 60 mph in 5 seconds flat. For comparison, a Chevy Camaro SS does the 0-60 march in 4.6 seconds. BMW, along with its other 2011 3 series updates, equips the 335is with new high-depth LED xenon headlamps, a revised hood with new grille, and M Sport package enhancements which include a full M aero body kit, freer-flowing exhaust, Shadowline black window trim, high-gloss side mirror caps, 18″ ferric gray alloy wheels (or optional 19″ M wheels), and some unique badges identifying that you were willing to spend no less than 50 grand to get yourself a 3-series that doesn’t look like the neighbor’s, or worse, the free-loaner.
