Can Your Dog Learn a New Trick?

Doggie Fountain

After spending a long winter couped up, summer is the time for man’s best friend to cut loose. Especially if you have a backyard that they can explore even when you’re away at work. Dehydration though is certainly a concern that most loyal owners solve by leaving out a water bowl. The Doggie Fountain ($40) provides owners with peace of mind and one ups the bowl strategy by giving man’s best friend access to fresh, clean water on demand. Not to mention it can also help cool pets down with a few quick splashes if they so desire.

It works by attaching to any garden hose and is pedal operated. Simply leave the hose on and adjust the height of the fountain by changing the water pressure. The device measures 9 1/4 x 9 3/4 x 2″ and is made of steel and plastic, so it should work for both Great Danes or your better half’s Chihuahua. Keep in mind that some training on this is required though, so if your furry friend is on the slow side, the bowl might still be a better option.
