Gindo’s Spice of Life Pepper Sauce

Culture By Photo by Gindo's

Sriracha and Pete’s are great. In fact, they’re staples. But like a newly discovered spirit, unearthing a hot sauce we haven’t tasted gets our fire, and food, roaring. Unlike the Cold War nuclear pursuit of so many hot sauces, Gindo’s Spice of Life is anything but a tongue melter — make no mistake though, this is still a hot hot sauce. Its base, made of the common habaeneros and red bell pepper cocktail, is then blended with more exotic ingredients like Black Lava and Himalayan Pink Sea Salts for a spicy yet smooth concoction that’s perfect on anything from pizza to paninis to polenta. For now, you can only procure it in artisan stores, but look for e-commerce in early March.
