Getting the van back together
Any musician worth his Gibson knows that the best way for a band to turn a profit is through touring. That’s easy enough for Maroon 5, but a bit harder when you’re not bringing in Moves Like Jagger swagger. Touring buses are unwieldy and expensive to operate, (though it hasn’t stopped John Madden) and regular vans are often cramped, and well, vans. Rock-It Ships solves the travel problems of the modern day everyrocker by offering Mercedes-Benz touring vans that have been rebuilt from the ground up for between venue comfort. With pick-up and drop-off services available everywhere from the Greek in L.A. to New York’s Beacon Theater, Rock-It Ship’s rental fleet includes some definite diva-status amenities. Each vehicle comes equipped with in-motion satellite television, a refrigerator, and a groupie-friendly sleeping area that includes five bunks and two sleeper sofas. Already in use by national touring acts such as Go Radio and Ballyhoo!, each Rock-It Ship is powered by a gas-sipping Mercedes-Benz BlueTec V6 Turbodiesel engine, leaving you with more money in your pocket to spend on the requisite rock to go with all that roll.
We’ve got a few photos of the interior appointments after the break.
