The-Shrine-Storage-Cube-Gear-Patrol The Shrine Storage Cube
Designer Sigurd Larsen drew inspiration for his storage cube — a nest of locked drawers and cubbies perfect for hiding away every gadget and gewgaw you’ve got on hand — from “the labyrinth courtyards of Berlin’s Kreuzberg neighborhood”. Made of solid oak, each drawer and cabinet locks with a brass hardware and keys. The topmost compartment is designed to hold a turntable, but you could stow just about anything inside — just don’t lose the keys. $6,950
Pilot-&-Captain-Brand-Gear-Patrol Pilot & Captain
You use airport lounges. You call airports (and sometimes entire cities) by their three letter codes. You’re a jet setter, and you want the world to know it. These goods from Pilot & Captain illustrate that point nicely: travel-oriented symbols, abbreviations and the like are all done up in an attractive graphic style on a variety of shirts, totes and prints. Indeed, they’re for the adult in you, not the kid who still wears “I’m With Stupid” tees.
Rotwild-AMG-RX45-Bicycle-Gear-Patrol Rotwild x AMG R.X45 Bicycle
To our minds, “German engineering” and “ultra-sporty vehicle” are synonyms. While this particular two-wheeler probably won’t be confused for, say, a gullwing sports car any time soon, it’s still got plenty of über-excellent goodies throughout. It’s an all-rounder — easily at home on tarmac (maybe avoid the Autobahn, all the same) — but the carbon fiber frame is light enough to (and meant to) haul ass over any trail. Developed in tandem with athletes, engineers designed the rear end, complete with FOX shocks, to be completely independent of the rest of the vehicle. Riding it, you’ll be completely independent from the rest of the pack.
Lotuff-Leather-Backpack-Gear-Patrol Lotuff Leather Backpack
Available in black or brown, this full leather backpack intends to inject some much needed style into the napsack world. There isn’t any fuss here: adjustable shoulder straps and two main compartments, one accessible via a rear zipper pocket, both accessible via the double-buckled top flap. Of course, it’s high-grade stuff all around and will take on a custom patina the more it’s used. $1,200
SONOS-Play-1-Gear-Patrol Sonos Play:1 Speaker
Sonos just released their Play:1, a small, smart stereo, sans wires. Controlled via the Sonos app, you can play your own collection as well as music from other services over a single speaker, which promises to fill a room with sound. Pair two together and they’ll automatically adjust as left and right stereo speakers for a surround experience. Inside is a 3.5-inch woofer and an equally large tweeter, and each has its own amplifier — super sumptuous sound guaranteed. $199
Carhart-Laundry-Hamper-Gear-Patrol Carhartt x Steele Canvas Laundry Cart
It’s time to retire the little nylon mesh hamper you rescued from your dorm’s trash pile and upgrade to this slick herald of adult male laundry dominance. Carhartt, the hard-wearing work apparel pros, have teamed up with Steele, makers of supreme canvas laundry baskets, to produce a special edition laundry vessel for all your dirty duds. It should last a great long while, provided you actually wash your clothes from time to time and they don’t become sentient and/or hungry. $279
