For hardened travelers, the dopp kit holds no mystique. There’s no pretense or big statement — the bag simply needs to do its job: secure toiletry essentials while being tossed around amid our globetrotting. DSPTCH’s take is 2014’s best.

DSPTCH is known for battle-ready camera straps inspired from rugged military and outdoor gear, and their dopp kit is cut from the same cloth. Tough, pragmatic and unassuming, the compact bag (9 x 4 x 4 inches) is made of their signature ballistic mesh exterior and features crucial components for efficient travel: a dual-access mesh pocket; elastic organizers to secure containers; and a removable, padded valet tray (7 x 3 inches) for transporting expensive or fragile items (watches, sunglasses, etc.).

And it’s all U.S.-made: DSPTCH is a member of SFMade, a nonprofit organization committed to growing the San Francisco economy. Of course there are more expensive, “nicer” dopp kits out there, but for something as quick and efficient as your road prep, you can’t beat DSPTCH.
