Aether Apparel Masters the Spectrum
Motorcycle Gear That Balances Style and Performance
Motorcycle gear is a tricky look to master. Go too far in one direction and you’ll end up looking like a Power Ranger suited up for a fistfight, or, in the other direction, Peter Fonda cruising through downtown NOLA. The former gives you optimum protection while the other offers, arguably, maximum style. It’s rare to find a motorcycle-jacket-and-pants combo that’s a happy medium, evenly blending comfort and style with protection from the elements and road rash (or worse). Obviously, you shouldn’t compromise on your personal safety out on the road for the sake of gaining style points, but a reflective neon-yellow synthetic riding suit will only make you stand out for all the wrong reasons when you’re nowhere near your bike.
For riding gear that completely owns the middle of the safety-style spectrum, Aether has your back. Their new Navigator Jacket and Range Motorcycle Pant are designed with a heavy nod to style, but still offer all the abrasion protection and weatherproofing one should expect in modern motorcycle gear. For longer hauls that’ll see more storm cells and saddle time, the Expedition Moto Jacket and Pants up the protection factor with even more durable materials and weatherproofing to stand up to prolonged exposure. Yet somehow they manage to incorporate streamlined, rugged looks, too.
From weekend excursions to a day ride in the hills, and all the stops in between, Aether’s moto gear finds a balance between the safety and performance you need with the style and savvy design you want.
In Town or Off the Grid
The Navigator Motorcycle Jacket
The Navigator Jacket never gives off an overbearing air of protective clothing, even with the safety of JRC Reflex reflective piping and the weather- and windproof construction of Schoeller-Dynatec’s outer shell.
The Range Motorcycle Pant
Utilizing a slimmer fit than your average riding pants, the Range Pant telegraphs style with subtly. So even though you get the ultimate protection out on the road — thanks to industry-leading D3O shock-absorbing body armor and abrasion-resistant Halley Stevenson canvas — there’s no sacrifice in design. ColdBlack has been worked into the garment dye to alleviate heat buildup on warmer rides, keeping you cool in every sense of the word.
Expedition Motorcycle Jacket
For longer rides and rougher weather, the Expedition Jacket utilizes abrasion-resistant, weatherproof three-layer field nylon from Japan. Aether even field tested and developed the jacket in British Columbia to ensure that it could withstand the harshest of environments.
Expedition Motorcycle Pant
Much the same as the matching jacket, the Expedition pants were developed in the extreme elements only British Columbia can provide, with reinforcements on the shins and hips, and relaxed articulation at the knees for easier movement. And to seal you away from the elements even more, the pants and jacket can be zipped together and worn as a full-body suit.
