Thanksgiving used to be a holiday that signaled the end of the harvest season. Today, however, it kicks off the busiest travel time of the year: the holidays. During this five-week sprint, which lasts until New Year’s, airports get busy and highways slow down. There’s also the weather to account for — the thought of a white Christmas is only nice until you spend one in a terminal.
