A multitool is supposed to be a DIY fixer for any situation, but too often lately they are oversimplified, with individual tools shrunk so small that they’re useless. With the Center-Drive, Gerber has identified the most widely used tools and made them better. It has a full-size screwdriver with standard, replaceable bits, spring-loaded pliers that can be slid out with one hand and an outboard knife that Gerber claims is 30 percent larger than the competition. All the outboard tools can be accessed using one hand, and the 14 total tools (serrated knife, file, bottle opener, etc.) offer enough functionality that your toolbox might start to accumulate a little dust.
