Sony UBP-X800 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player

Don’t believe what the 5K OLED TV evangelists tell you — Blu-ray ain’t dead. According to Engadget, Sony has a new 4K Blu-ray player coming out in March (along with a few new 4K TVs), that will soon be available for pre-order on Amazon.

Rolls Royce Project Cullinan

It’s code-named the Cullinan, after the largest diamond ever discovered.

Travelteq RFID Wallets

Three premium leather wallets — one passport holder, two card holders — with an aluminum film woven invisibly into the lining, creating a cyber pickpocketer-proof force field. (Though, being Travelteq, they’ll likely still draw lots of attention, so watch out for kleptomaniacal style fiends.)

“Bomba” Thomas Prior Photography Book

For 400 years, the people of San Juan de la Vega, a small town in central Mexico, have held a breathtaking annual ceremony: residents strap packets of fertilizer and other chemicals to sledgehammers and swing them violently against steel rails, causing explosions and plumes of sulfuric smoke. American photographer Thomas Prior documented the event and compiled his observations in this coffee-table-worthy photo book.

Pirelli Design x Blossom High Performance Rubber Ski

New from the world of winter sports are these skis from Pirelli and Blossom. The collaboration utilizes a Pirelli rubber compound sandwiched into the ski construction to help reduce vibration and ski chatter. To be fair, this isn’t the first time that this has been done — Revision has been using a similar technique for the past few years. But the skis look sleek and design-forward and are sure to turn heads out on the slopes. – AJ Powell, Associate Staff Writer

Etch Clock

At first glance, the Etch Clock appears to be nothing more than a strange gray square; turn it on, and the time materializes magically on its elastic surface, appearing like numbers carved in stone. Truly a one-of-a-kind conversation starter, and a timepiece worthy of your collection.

The Secret to Less Bitter Coffee Is Controlled Fermentation

Inspired by the world’s most coveted and controversial coffee, Kopi Luwak.

Moncler x OFF-WHITE Collection

An all-new five-piece collection from Moncler, a French premium skiwear brand, and OFF-WHITE, the Milan-based urban fashion label helmed by American designer Virgil Abloh. The collection includes a windbreaker, pullover, bomber jacket, t-shirt and hat, each with geometric graphics and block colors reminiscent of both brands’ always on-point style.

Williamson Goods & Supply Wheelmen Bicycle

This is a bike that actually exists. (We had trouble believing it, too.) Pinch yourself and have another look: see that copper-plated steel frame? It’s wrapped in black python and crocodile skin. Those fenders? Velo, hand-hammered. Cranks and stems and other parts are nothing but the best: Nova, Nitto, Hub, Paul Components. The whole thing’s handmade to order in Detroit, Michigan. And the price tag — get ready to pinch yourself again — $35,000. Only 30 will be made — act now or they’ll forever be locked away behind glass in art museums around the world.

American Giant Coach’s Jacket and Anorak

Lightweight jackets with minimal branding are a must for the spring. Enter: American Giant’s new Coach’s Jacket and Anorak. Both styles are made from wind- and water-resistant nylon, feature reinforced elbow patches and include elevated details like ripper-tipped drawcords. The Anorak retails for $79 and the Coach’s Jacket retails for $89, so you don’t have to break the bank to have a piece of stylish outerwear as the seasons change. — John Zientek, Style Writer

Spidi Thunderbird Motorcycle Jacket

Drawing inspiration from the flyboy attire of yesteryear, the new Thunderbird leather jacket from Spidi combines timeless style with CE rated protection. Coupled with the right pair of riding jeans and a protective pair of sneakers, you may draw more eyes than your bike this spring. – Matt Neundorf, Contributor

iClever Portable Car Jump Starter

Like a handheld backup power bank, but for dead engines. It holds enough juice for 30 jump starts, has a built-in flashlight and is no bigger than an iPhone. Stash it in your trunk with your other emergency essentials.

Song Sleuth Bird Call ID App

Song Sleuth is the ornithologist’s Shazam. It listens to birdsong and instantly reports back the three most likely species that it’s coming from; once the call has been identified, you can access a whole encyclopedia of information on the species, courtesy of David Sibley, the renowned expert and illustrator of North American birds.
