Amazon Alexa Skill: WTF Just Happened?

News headlines these days often elicit one response: what the fuck? Profanity, whether muttered under breath or screamed angrily while flicking through Twitter on the subway platform, is how many cope with such a stressful political climate; profanity is also how many interact with virtual assistants like Alexa or Siri. (Don’t lie — you’ve called Siri some pretty horrible names.) With the WTF Just Happened Today? skill installed on your Amazon Alexa, you can angrily ask Alexa — poor, poor Alexa — to give you a quick update on all the fucked-up shit that happened in the world today, and begrudgingly, she will. Thanks, Alexa! And FUCK YOU!

Bose Revolve Bluetooth Speakers

Bose have announced what it’s calling its best Bluetooth speakers ever: the Bose SoundLink Revolve and SoundLink Revolve Plus.

Basil Hayden’s Rye Whiskey

For the first time in its 25-year history, Basil Hayden’s, a Beam Suntory–owned brand known for its bourbon, released a rye whiskey. Though the bottle omits an age statement, the brand says that the whiskey contains a small amount of “re-barreled rye.” In this case, that means traditional rye whiskey that’s been aged in different barrels over an 11-year span. Now available at liquor stores nationwide.

Nikon D7500 Midrange DSLR

Nikon just announced what might be its most advanced non-professional DSLR camera yet, with many similarities to one of Nikon’s best professional-grade cameras, the D500: ridiculously high framerate (50 shots at around 8 fps), light but strong construction and uber-accurate autofocus (180K-pixel RGB sensor).

Pack Simply Curated Toiletry Bags

Travel toiletries are a funny thing. Unlike the other contents of your luggage, toiletries often need replacing after a long trip — kinda like your booze-soaked liver, or your will to be productive at work. Pack Simply shoulders that inconvenience for you. Choose from over 100 TSA-approved items, and Pack Simply will organize ’em in a clear plastic pouch and ship it to your front door.

Shinola Jackie Robsinson Collection

As part of Shinola’s Great Americans Series, a collection which honors luminaries of the American Civil Rights movement, the legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson is paid tribute through five items: a stainless steel chronograph, a New Era baseball bat, a baseball cap, a baseball and a hardcover journal.
