Good morning. America’s birthday is tomorrow, and we’ll be out celebrating the only way we know how: with booze and explosives. We hope you’re celebrating too, no matter where you are or where you come from. We’ll be back on Wednesday. Cheers!

Today’s Gear

What’s New, Now

Nike Duel Racer

On July 6, Nike is releasing two new colorways of the Duel Racer, which debuted in early June. A revamped version of the classic Duelist, the Dual Racer features a breathable knit upper, slip-on construction, dual-density foam and a quick-lacing system. Available online and at select Nike retailers.

Parachute Waffle Robe

Made of 100 percent Turkish cotton and made by skilled Turkish artisans, this buttery-smooth bathrobe brings the luxury of a five-star spa into your own bathroom. Or, if you’re so inclined, your neighborhood sidewalks. Who cares.

Nadaam Nanoweight Cashmere Collection

As if cashmere wasn’t already light enough. Nadaam’s latest collection, dubbed Nanoweight, is made of ultra-rare, ultra-breathable cashmere responsibly sourced from Mongolian herders, and it includes tees, polos and hoodies.

Moots Highline Urban Commuter

The gap between style and utility is often a difficult space to traverse. For the consumer it presents a classic no-win pros and cons choice to navigate, and that’s especially true for urban bike commuters when choosing a new bike. But Moot proves that that’s not always the case with the Highline, a purpose-built titanium commuter bike that combines subtle urban styling with specs that’ll keep performance nerds satiated. – Tanner Bowden, Editorial Apprentice

Komorebi Natural Light Projector

It’s a damn shame you can’t buy this projector. A conceptual project by designer Leslie Nooteboom, the Komorebi is essentially an inconspicuous projector that mimics natural light shone through a window. It has three settings: light filtered through leaves in the wind, light reflected on water, and speckled light. (Take my money, Nooteboom!)

Seedo Automatic Hydroponics Device

So, you’re looking to grow your first weed plant. For most non-greenthumbs, that’s a daunting endeavor. Seedo promises to make growing herbs — magical or not — almost completely automated. Simply drop in a seed, close the door, monitor progress in the companion app, and harvest whenever it’s ready.

Limited ‘America Issue’ Patrol Tee

From the Gear Patrol Store: In our widely anticipated fourth issue of Gear Patrol magazine, we set out to capture what makes America great. We discovered what we’ve always known: that spectacular natural landscapes, rich cultural diversity and the desire to see great ideas through to their full potential make for a country unlike any on earth. And one that we’re proud to call to our own. So in celebration of the magazine and Independence Day on the horizon, we’ve launched an America-themed version of our popular Patrol Tee that can be worn all summer long.
