Since its launch 2015, Outerknown, the California clothing brand founded by John Moore and Kelly Slater, has excelled at making surf-inspired clothing with an emphasis on sustainable manufacturing. While the coastal vibes stay strong in the brand’s recently debuted fall collection, new releases are rooted in the colorful, cozy aesthetic of Peru — think patterned hoodies, bright flannels and pants inspired by South American outdoor gear. While the collection would look right at home in the country’s chilly mountainous climate, it’s just as easily the type of thing you’d wear on an early morning stroll through SoCal or Montauk. Check out five standouts from the new collection.
