Warmth Isn't Overrated
Arc’teryx Announces New Hoodies and Vests So You Can Stay Outdoors Longer
Arc’teryx knows how to create warmth. They make great synthetic and all-down jackets and are taking those technologies over into the running and back-country space. Today they’ve announced the launch of the new Ryze Hoody and the Argus Vest, both of which will be available later this fall.
With the recent dip in temperatures, it was almost too cold to run outside, but the addition of a wind-resistant shell with Coreloft insulation in this vest might just give you the push you need to get back out there. When it snows, just add a water-proof layer on top. If you run hot, take the vest off and stuff it into its own pocket — then keep running.
The Ryze Hoody was created with backcountry skiers and snowboarders in mind who have to deal with constant weather and condition changes depending on where they drop in. This mid-layer offers a few features to help regulate warmth like the adjustable hood, light synthetic insulation, and breathable fabric on the front to let air flow.
