Over the weekend, hundreds of handbuilt bicycle fans descended on Hartford Connecticut. The North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show (NAHBS) celebrated its 14th year by bringing nearly 160 international and American independent bicycle exhibitors (bikes, frames, parts, paint, accessories and more) to New England for the first time. As the show specifies, “NAHBS showcases the talents of individuals around the world whose art form is the bicycle.” The rolling art was on full display, and the judges had the difficult job of determining the show’s best in a series of categories. Here the 22 that rose to the top.
