Oak & Oscar has been designing some of the coolest timepieces to come out of the modern American boutique watch brand movement — from their Burnham time-and-date model to the Sandford GMT to the Jackson dual-register flyback chronograph, these are watches that don’t skimp on quality or the small details, and the market has responded incredibly favorably to them.

The brand’s newest offering is the Humboldt, which, though certainly rated for diving (the watch is good down to 200m), is much more of an “adventure watch,” perfect for anything outdoor-related. Named after 18th-century explorer Alexander von Humboldt, the watch features a 40mm case with 20mm lugs, a 12-hour bezel, two available two-layer sandwich dial colors (dark navy blue and charcoal grey), multiple strap options (steel bracelet or Horween leather strap), ETA 2892-A2 automatic movement, display case back, double-domed sapphire crystal with AR coating and date window at 6 o’clock.

Drilled lugs ensure easy strap changing, a sandwich dial reveals bright luminous material for increased legibility and a 12-hour bezel allows the user to easily keep track of a second time zone or elapsed time. What’s more, no matter which dial color or strap option you pick, you get an extra nylon strap plus a strap-changing tool and waxed canvas watch wallet

The Humboldt will retail for $1,750 on bracelet or $1,550 on leather, but for a limited time, you can pick one up for $100 off. Each watch ships with a 2-year limited warranty, and a portion of profits will go to local Chicago dog rescue charity One Tail at a Time.
