CAP Dumbbells Sale
Save 59% If you went to the gym this morning, you probably felt trapped as if you were in an overstuffed elevator. All the machines were taken, weights were scarce and the vibe, while uplifting, felt a bit heavy to handle so early. Take control of your fitness goals and build a home gym. Weights are ubiquitous and necessary for strength-based at-home workouts. While you can do most exercises with just your bodyweight, adding a pair of dumbbells ups the intensity level leading to the results you want. These CAP rubber coated dumbbell weights are essential. Right now, you can pick up a couple of 10-pounders for $9 compared to the original price of $21. Buy a pair, then start pumping out push-up rows, overhead presses and AMRAP (as many reps as possible) bicep curls. — Meg Lappe
Patagonia Black Hole Pack
Save 30%: Among all of the well-loved products that Patagonia has created over the years — from ultralight synthetic insulation jackets to iconic fleeces — is the Black Hole duffel. The utilitarian gear hauler is made rugged enough to handle the rigors of weeks’ long field expeditions yet practical enough that its features aren’t lost on casual travelers. (The 60-liter version is perfect for carry-on-only trips.)
The Black Hole duffel succeeds because its design is so simple — it has an accessible D-shaped opening, mesh pockets for a small amount of internal organization, removable backpack straps — and its laminated ripstop construction is both durable and weather-resistant. It’s precisely these qualities that make the Black Hole backpack excellent too. The pack uses the same hardwearing fabric in an everyday bag that’s well suited to commuting and shorter adventures.
Similar to the duffel, the Black Hole Pack uses a wide opening to access its main compartment, which has sleeves for a laptop and tablet or a hydration reservoir as well as smaller organizers for small items. Unhindered by other unnecessary features, the bag is left to do what it should: provide an ample space for whatever it is you might need to carry (there are two small exterior pockets too).
Right now Huckberry is selling Patagonia’s Black Hole Pack for 30 percent off. — Tanner Bowden

Aether Winter Jackets
Save 40% We might be able to say the days are getting longer now, but the temperatures continue their frigid downward spiral into the new year. There’s no better time to upgrade your winter jacket game and get one of four different Aether winter jacket styles at 40% off. —Bryan Campbell
Finex Cast-Iron Skillets
Save 25% Called gimmicky by some and innovative by others, Finex cast-iron skillets still cook in the same manner as your usual cast-iron skillet. Its pan is cut into an octagon with hard corners that aim to work like better pour spouts (they’re useful for baking, too) and its steel coil-wrapped handle is meant to stay cooler for longer than the usual iron handle.
The shape, handle, a heavier than normal base and a pretty steep retail price are the defining qualities of the Portland company’s weirdly divisive skillet. Today on Massdrop that price is 25 percent less steep — a cool $55 cheaper for the 10-inch skillet. —Will Price

Whether you want to hike more, run more, cook more or spend more time doing things you like, the L.L. Bean sale will help get you the gear you need to go from busy to relaxed. Today, you can take an extra 25 percent off sale items in stores and online with code EXTRA25. — Meg Lappe

Fjällräven Bergtagen Parka
Save $294: If you don’t live above the Arctic Circle, a parka designed for the conditions there might seem overkill for anywhere else. But consider the snow and winds that rip through your hometown during winter, or that a town in western Texas once experienced temperatures 23 degrees below zero, and a long, highly-insulated expedition parka like Fjällräven’s Bergtagen can appear a bit more appealing.
Fjällräven created the Bergtagen collection in partnership with the Swedish Mountain Guides Association for high elevation pursuits above treeline. The jacket is constructed with a polyester shell that’s filled with a hearty amount of the company’s G-Loft Supreme insulation, which is also polyester. Fjällräven created the jacket to be thrown on over other layers when the weather is at its worst, but it’s fully-equipped for practical use with four large outer pockets on the chest and toward the hem and two mesh pouches inside.
Like most mountain equipment, the Bergtagen Parka is lightweight and performance-oriented, but it isn’t the type of synthetic jacket that will compress for storage in its own pocket; it’s oversized to provide as much protection against the elements as possible. (This also means you should size down one or even two sizes.)
The Bergtagen is currently 49 percent off at Mountain Steals, a savings of nearly $300. If you’re looking for a jacket that can handle the absolute worst of winter, this might be it. And don’t let its high elevation origins deter you — after all, most outdoor apparel that’s perfect for wearing every day is designed with activities like rock climbing and mountaineering in mind. The same goes for the Bergtagen. — Tanner Bowden

KEF Q150 Bookshelf Speakers
Save $250: The KEF Q150 are really nice passive bookshelf speakers, especially for the price. They’re ideal for anybody looking for speakers to hook up to their stereo or AV receiver. Remember, these are passive speakers so you can stream to them (although there are ways around that, as you can connect them to a streaming amplifier such as a Sonos Connect:Amp). If you’re looking for more Ryan Waniata of Digital Trends wrote: “One of the best pairs of speakers we’ve heard at their price point, the Q150 are yet another brilliant feat of engineering to add to KEF’s storied audio canon.” Maybe the best part about them is that Amazon is now offering them for almost half off. The normally $550 bookshelf speakers are going for just $300 – that’s $250 off. The caveat is that only the black models are on sale. If you want white speakers, you’ll have to pay full price.

J.Crew Clothing and Accessories
Save an Extra 40%:In the mid-‘80s J.Crew laid the groundwork for its runaway success in the following decades. It started by sending catalogs to customers (the first of which mailed in 1983) showcasing a range of logo-less, heritage-inspired garments that were refreshingly affordable. According to designer Sid Mashburn, it was “a little Grateful Dead but a little Northeast Prep, too.”
By 1989, the brand opened its first retail stores with a loyal following of customers who loved wardrobe staples like rugby shirts, rollneck sweaters and barn coats. While J.Crew has expanded its offerings quite a bit since then, it still offers a range of tasteful garments appropriate for any occasion. If you’re in need of a wardrobe refresh, head over the brand’s site now because you can save an extra 40 percent on a wide range of sale items.
