Premier B01 Bentley Centenary
Breitling Partners with Bentley on Two Beautiful Wood-Dialed Watches
As Bentley celebrates its hundredth birthday this year, Breitling is helping to mark the occasion with the Breitling Premier B01 Bentley Centenary watches. While wooden watches aren’t necessarily new, it can be hard to integrate this material tastefully, and it’s not something seen very often in a luxury timepiece. For the Breitling Premier Bentley Centenary watches, the elm burl dials reference new limited-edition Bentley cars that use wooden inserts taken from a historic “Blower” Bentley that raced in the 1930 Le Mans.
With the lovely deep color and organic patterns of the wood dials and a “Bentley” plaque on the case side, these limited-edition watches fit perfectly into the Breitling Premier collection. Visible through a display case back inscribed with the Bentley logo ticks away the in-house B01 automatic chronograph movement with 70 hours of power reserve. With a 42mm-wide and roughly 14mm-thick case, the watch comes in two versions: an 18k red gold version limited to 200 pieces for $28,000, and a steel version limited to 1,000 pieces for $9,950 on a leather strap with a tang buckle ($10,200 with a folding clasp) or $10,500 on a steel bracelet.
