Big Lights, Big Sound

Sony’s $250 Portable Speaker Is Only $80

March 8, 2019 Deals By

Sony’s line of Extra Bass speakers is known for a few things. They’re rugged and portable. They’re loud and sound pretty awesome, if a bit bass heavy. And then there are the LED lights, which can be customized to flash in tune with the music. Some people might find these lights obnoxious, and if so, that’s not a deal breaker – you can turn the lights off via the Sony companion app.

The SRS-XB41 is the largest Bluetooth speaker in Sony’s Extra Bass line, comparable in size and sound quality to the Bose SoundLink Revolve Plus ($239) or an Ultimate Ears Boom 3 ($150). It normally sells for $250 — which is what Best Buy is selling it for right now – but you can currently buy a SRS-XB41 on eBay for just $80. Granted, the models that eBay is selling are manufacturer refurbished, but this still feels like a pretty phenomenal deal.
