Los Angeles-based apparel label Lady White Co. teamed up with Japanese sneaker brand Reproduction of Found to release a limited edition Canadian military sneaker made with Italian suede. Besides looking great, the collaboration seems very natural. Lady White Co., founded in 2015, makes a range of apparel inspired by vintage sportswear and its tubular jersey shirts are a favorite of industry insiders. Similarly, Reproduction of Found was founded a few years ago (in 2016) and makes a selection of reproduction military trainers from countries like Russia, Germany and Italy, among others.
This collaboration is an exact replica of a Canadian Military Trainer issued in 1990. It features a top-stitched toe cap, rubber sole, mesh lining and leather insole that molds to the wearer’s foot over time. The only noticeable change is a premium Italian suede upper in a Cool White color. Made in Slovakia, the collaboration is limited to 100 pairs and is priced at $240. If you’re looking for a top-notch everyday sneaker, something far more unique than what you’d find at your local mall, these are well worth a look. Head over to County Ltd. tonight at 7PM PST to pick up a pair.
