This Travel Backpack Will Make You Ditch Rolling Luggage
When it comes to photography accessories, Peak Design, makes some of the best available. We’re not the only ones who think so — the company’s products rank three out of the top ten most successful outdoor and travel Kickstarter projects of all time. Every item the brand makes is carefully-considered, with design elements directly influenced by real-world use scenarios. Its most recent launch was its Travel Collection, which included packing cubes, camera cubes, a tech pouch, a Dopp kit and a backpack that anchors all of these items. The collection — when purchased as a whole — is $50 off at Huckberry right now.
We had a chance to review the Travel Backpack early on, and our reviewer concluded that it’s “a great bag that can legitimately tote both camera gear and travel essentials… you can go around the world with just this pack on your back.” The brilliance of the bag is in its design — it has access points on the back, sides and top, handles for carrying on every side, and shoulder straps and a hipbelt that tuck away. Some of the smaller highlights include theft-deterrent zippers, a concealed passport stash pocket, a soft sunglasses pocket and a compression snap system that brings that allows the bag to go from 45 to 35 liters.
If you’re familiar with Peak Design, then you’d expect this level of consideration in the bag. But the smaller items in the collection are treated equally — the Dopp kit and tech organizer are best in class with features we haven’t seen anywhere else (like an easy-to-clean toothbrush compartment).
It’s not much, but the Travel Backpack, Tech Pouch and Wash Pouch are currently 12 percent off — a savings of $50 — when ordered in a bundle from Huckberry. Typically we seek out more substantial discounts to highlight in our deals coverage, but given that all three of these items are so successful at fulfilling their intended function, we wanted to make sure that you didn’t miss out.
