Canon's New Rebel
Canon Unveils the Most Compact Rebel DSLR Camera Ever. Oh, and It Shoots 4K Video
Canon just announced the EOS Rebel SL3 ($599+), the successor to the EOS Rebel SL2 and the newest addition to the company’s iconic line of entry-level DSLRs. The big news here: the EOS Rebel SL3 is the first Canon Rebel camera that can shoot 4K video. It’s also smaller and lighter than any of Canon’s previous Rebel cameras.
The EOS Rebel SL3 has a new 24.1-megapixel APS-C sensor but retains the Digic-8 image processor and 3.0-inch touchscreen (that can flip around for selfies) as the EOS Rebel SL2. It has nine-point autofocus and can shoot at five frames per second.
Anybody in the market for a great entry-level DSLR camera should consider the EOS Rebel SL3. When it hits the market at the end of the month, it will cost $599 (body only) or $749 with an EF-S 18-55 f/4-5.6 IS STM lens. Both black and white models will be available.
