Superocean Heritage II x Ocean Conservancy

This Breitling Dive Watch Highlights Ocean Conservation Efforts

This isn’t the first time Breitling has released a limited edition diver chronograph to highlight a collaboration focusing on helping to clean the polluted oceans. The brand even used a beach cleanup in Bali with the “Breitling Surfers Squad” group of professional surfers and brand ambassadors to launch the new Superocean Heritage II Chronograph 44 Ocean Conservancy watch and removed “hundreds of kilograms of trash and plastic” from the beach.

Just like a recent Superocean Heritage II watch for maker of surfing-style sustainable clothing (and one of Gear Patrol’s favorites) Outerknown, this Ocean Conservancy collaboration watch features a strap made from eco-friendly, recycled nylon. (The strap’s “ECONYL” material is partly made from fishing nets reclaimed from oceans around the world.) It also features similar specs to the Outerknown version at 44mm wide with a COSC chronometer-certified ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement and 200m of water-resistance. The Breitling Superocean Heritage II Chronograph 44 Ocean Conservancy watch will be limited to 1,000 pieces and have a price of $6,250.

Gear Patrol also recommends:
Oris Aquis Chronograph Dive Watch ($2,942)
Longines Heritage Diver 1967 Chronograph ($3,150)
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph ($8,450)
