The Line Dock has been making waves for a while — it launched as an Indigogo project back in 2016 — but now it’s available to order. So what is it? The Line Dock is an accessory that sits underneath a newer MacBook or MacBook Pro and adds nine extra ports, 20,000mAH of battery life and up to 1TB of extra storage. Boom! It’s a little odd looking, admittedly, and it definitely adds weight and bulk to your laptop; Chaim Gartenberg of The Verge described it in 2016 as looking like “someone took an old MacBook Pro and ripped off the screen.” However, it looks like a very interesting all-in-one solution for MacBook Pro owners who want to majorly beef up their laptop.
The Line Dock is available for order now. It comes in 12-inch, 13-inch, and 15-inch models, so that it fits seamlessly under your current laptop, and you can order it with zero, 256GB or 1TB of added internal SSD storage.
