The Best Sport Watch of 2018 Is $200 Off
At the end of every year, Gear Patrol editors and writers gather together and have a debate: what were the best new products to come out in the previous 12 months? We divide the work into categories (tech, outdoors, watches, drinks and more) and publish the results as the GP100. In 2018, one of our selections in the fitness category was the Suunto 9 sport watch, which is currently on sale for more than $200 off, depending on the model, for Amazon’s Prime Day.
The 9 is Suunto’s high-end fitness watch, and one of the major reasons why it’s a standout is battery life. The watch can run for up to 120 hours while tracking a run or hike, for instance, thanks to a smart battery management system that regulates itself depending on the length of your workout and its mode. As for specs, it measures distance, pace, heart rate and can tell you when the sun will rise and set — and that’s only to name a small handful of its functions.
The Suunto 9 is available in two versions in addition to the base model: one with barometric information, and another with that plus a stand-alone heart rate strap. All three are included in the Prime Day sale, and while none are necessarily inexpensive, all three are about as cheap as they’ve ever been. (Make sure to check the coupon box for an extra 20 percent off, applied at checkout, to get the full discount.)
Prime Day offers an opportunity to save copious amounts of money on products you’ve been coveting all year — Gear Patrol promises to find you the best of the best. Start Saving Now
