The Grouse Bottomland Boot
These Rugged Boots Will Stand up to Fall’s Worst
Washington heritage outfitter Filson and Oregon-based bootmaker Danner teamed up to produce the ultimate fall boots. The Grouse Bottomland boots are lined with Gore-Tex and feature oil Tin Cloth with Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage.
The hunting boot silhouette utilizes stitch-down welted construction (read: durable and rebuildable) and has a shock-absorbing Vibram Olympia sole. The upper has full-grain leather and a lace-up closure — five eyelets and four speed hooks — and a traditional leather kiltie normally found on hard-wearing logging boots.
Available in sizes 7 to 13, it fits true to size and costs $395. So before the fall weather hits, pick up a pair of these rugged boots from two of the Northwest’s most iconic brands — they’ll last you for years to come.
Boots crafted in the American Northwest, by makers like Nicks Custom Boots, Wesco, and White’s Boots, were created to survive flames and rough terrain. Read the Story
