Save 47% on This Unexpectedly Unique Pocket Knife

Not all knives come to life with a designer’s sudden burst of inspiration. Some, like Kershaw’s Natrix, are simply the latest branch on a family tree of blades that came before. Kershaw built the Natrix as a direct descendant of the 0770, which is made by its sister company, Zero Tolerance. And that knife is based on the ZT 0777, which won the award for Overall Knife of the Year at the 2011 Blade Show.

But even without its famous lineage, the Natrix stands on its own as a high-quality pocket knife that strikes a balance between tactical and contemporary aesthetics. It uses Kershaw’s patented Sub-Frame Lock, in which a section of a handle is cut out to allow for a steel insert that bends inward when the blade is deployed to hold it in place, much like a traditional frame lock. It’s a mechanism that allows makers to provide ample security while using different handle materials. Case in point: this version of the Natrix with a copper handle, which is currently 47 percent off at Drop.

A note on Drop:
Drop is not like other online retailers. It’s a members-only site that requires signing up (all it takes is an email address). If you’re not a member, you can sign up here. When you place an order from Drop at a discounted price, you’re not buying from them directly. The site works by taking orders from consumers, then bulk ordering product at a discount directly from brands and other wholesalers. For more information on how Drop works, click here.
