It's Diffrient

This Legendary Office Chair Is Almost 80% Off

September 28, 2019 Deals By

Designed by the legendary industrial designer Niels Diffrient, the Freedom chair was the first passively ergonomic task seating ever made. In office-chair speak, that makes it the first seat to automatically adjust to the person sitting in it, rather than have the person alter the chair to their liking manually.

While it was released in 1999, it shares more with office chairs of the last two years than of its era (companies like Herman Miller and Knoll have since released their own passive ergonomic task seating). Right now on Ebay, you can grab the mid-back version of the chair in fabric or leather upholstery for nearly 80 percent off. It’s worth noting these models are open-box returns from a third-party seller, meaning you’re not buying directly from the manufacturer in this instance.
