At its most fundamental level, a watch’s purpose is keeping time. The latest release from Oris is inspired by jazz legend Art Blakey, who also found his purpose in keeping time by playing drums with the likes of Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk among other famed jazz musicians. Art Blakey remains one of the most influential jazz drummers of all time, and his memory lives on in this limited-edition timepiece featuring a dial decorated with claws from his bass drum, and a cymbal inlay on the case back. It’s based on the classic Oris Artelier silhouette, with a clean and streamlined design. The watch also offers an Oris 733 automatic movement, a multi-piece stainless steel case and a domed sapphire top glass with anti-reflective coating.
