Gear Patrol is seeking an ambitious Editorial Associates interested in starting a full-time career in the media industry and building a broad foundation of relevant skills.

The editorial associate role is an entry-level position with significant opportunities to learn the trade from industry veterans. Opportunities include researching and writing daily editorial franchises, as well as providing production support for tentpole editorial projects, including the quarterly Gear Patrol magazine. A typical day will include everything from writing and aggregating stories to updating promotional widgets, pulling site data, calling in product samples, and helping prep for video and photoshoots.

Multimedia Producer

Job Description:
The Multimedia Producer will be a lynchpin in creating and shaping Gear Patrol’s video offerings. From outdoor lifestyle to automotive, to fashion, the role encompasses a wide range of potential subjects, and the ideal candidate will have varied interests in storytelling.

The position requires a “Swiss Army Knife” approach to content creation. A strong editing background and deep knowledge of the Adobe Suite is required. A qualified applicant will also have significant experience with lighting and camera operating as well.

Conceiving and pitching ideas for execution are inherent to the position. With that in mind, qualified candidates must have an understanding of what works on multiple platforms, knowing that an offering on Instagram isn’t the same as one for YouTube. Please be prepared to articulate this in an interview.

As you can tell, this role will wear a lot of hats. From creating short-form social content to exploring the possibilities of longer-form docs style journalism, this is a role that will be a challenge, but also a massive opportunity to get in on the ground floor at a company that is growing incredibly fast.
Candidates must bring a collaborative approach to all projects. The ability to take notes on a project and the ability to listen to the ideas of others is essential.

We’re looking for an intern to support our Social Media team, primarily focused on visual storytelling.

The Director of Advertising Operations is a newly created leadership position responsible for ensuring our sales, finance and supporting production teams work consistently in unison to achieve maximum results. This requires establishing and maintaining clear guidelines around all processes related to advertising operations including communication, planning, production, delivery, reporting, billing, invoicing, analytics and more.

As such, ideal applicants will have direct experience running teams known for operational excellence, and be experts on the tools, technologies, and standards used in digital advertising. They should also have a natural talent for transforming enormous challenges into easily digestible routines. And like all leaders at Gear Patrol, they must maintain a flexible, solutions-first approach to problems and embody the principles of servant leadership.

This role will report directly to the Vice President of Advertising and Partnerships while also working closely with other key operational stakeholders including the Development and Marketing teams as well as the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all ad serving operations and display advertising products, from both direct and programmatic sources.
• Work with the sales and account management teams to oversee the RFP response process.
• Work with the GPS, Design and Editorial teams to oversee and optimize the custom content production process.
• Work with the CFO to develop and manage invoicing and billing procedures.
• Work with the CFO to develop and manage procedures for tracking sales-related budgets and expenses.
• Work with the VP of Partnerships and CFO to create and update regular revenue reporting documents to suit the needs of various key stakeholders.
• Leverage revenue operational insights to help pivot sales priorities as seasonality, pacing and pipeline shift throughout the year.
• Work with the development team to create a sales product feedback loop that ensures current and future partnerships needs are addressed.
• Work with the marketing team to track and coordinate revenue-related logistics associated with Gear Patrol events and other special projects.
• Establish focus by tailoring communication to relevant audiences from C-Suite through to junior sales support roles.
• Engage and manage third-party ad tech vendors, rich media vendors, programmatic auction platforms, sales research services, audience measurement services, CRM providers, etc.
• Serve as the point of contact for external ad tech and other relevant partnership vendors.
• Support Sales leadership with business analysis and process recommendations.
• Act as a team player and contribute to the team’s success.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience working in digital advertising, with at least 2+ years spent in a management position.
• A passion for print and digital media.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work across internal departments.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Professional expertise working with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Professional expertise working with rich media vendors such as Pointroll, Sizmek, etc.
• Professional expertise working in DFP.
• Professional expertise working with DSPs / DMPs such as DBM, MediaMath, Invite Media, BlueKai, Krux, etc.
