There are a few tie patterns that will always be classic: varsity stripe, warren check, or skull & crossbones. Yes, skull & crossbones (we’re sure the team at Plunder Guide would approve). Recently, I read in Esquire that a modern man’s wardrobe should always include an article of clothing that says “go to hell”. Sage words. That said, this tie qualifies as just that.
The 100% English printed silk tie is made entirely by hand in limited quantities of 15 by designer Vittorio J here in New York. As you can see from our photo, the tie strikes a fine balance of modern style with seafaring emblems and pairs perfectly with my peg leg grey suit. Details are superb (hello, orange inner lining), and you’ll find all the patterns to be innovative without being over-the-top. Perfect for your new suit.
Editor’s Tip: Dress it for the weekend night out loosely tied with a crisp white shirt, rolled up sleeves, dark jeans and a wool blazer.

Very nice collection at the website. Made my decision a hard one. Love the color combinations and design choices. I had to go with the “Angela.” As for the skulls and crossbones, I do like the blue with orange lining and subtle pinstripes. I’m not a skulls fan, though a nice bold touch. Perhaps pink or silver blue hippos or elephants? And lining color to match? If they service custom-made ties, that would be nice.

It was a very hard choice, but the Sadtration #1009 is my choice if the black skull and crossbones tie isn’t available. Both look like incredibly detailed and killer ties.

The skull and cross bones is a definite must. It shows your risky and don’t care what others think. Also the Dolores # 5006, makes a statement as well. Like the classic lines and pattern complimented with the contemporary colors. Either tie, will give you that confident feel when worn.
