If you’re looking for a sub $200 watch that’s got physical substance and a distinctive nod to Panerai design, you might want to divert your attention to Steel Blaze Watches.
The Steel Blaze watch measures in at 45mm (11mm thick) with a second hand, date, and hard mineral crystal. This watch is sizeable so dainty wrists need not apply. Steel Blaze supplies the watch with a stitched leather strap embedded with a single steel rivet. There are optional interchangeable straps with more rivets as well. Other face and strap combinations are - be sure to check out the 48mm black face with yellow numbers ($295).

Panerai looks?? Are you blind? It looks nothing like a Panerai. More TW Steel or U-boat …but not Panerai!!
Radiomir-esque Crown. Luminor styled cardinal numbers. Perhaps nowhere near as much as the Magrette Regattare, but they're certainly there. Sizing is similar as well.
Agreed that there are some resemblances of uBoat and TW Steel. Suppose Eric did not decide to include all three mentions.

That’s a LOT of money for what is in essence a quartz fashion watch. Especially when it also has no luxuries like sapphire glass. I’d go for the Regattare any day.

I’d like to see gearpatrol focus on mechanical watches and occasionally specialty quartz (g-shock, suunto, etc…)
